The World Is My Book Necklace

Custom made by New York-based designer, KJK, for the Los Angeles Public Library is this 34″ single-chained (picture shows the chain doubled up), gold plate necklace reminiscent of Lee Lawrie’s Zodiac Chandelier hanging in the Central Library rotunda. The globe is 3-dimensional, rotates, and bears the inscriptions, “The world is my book” and “L.A. Public Library” on either side.
